Fair Use Policy

JOLT Fair Use Policy

(Note that all terms used herein but not defined shall have the meaning ascribed to them in the JOLT Terms and Conditions of Use (the “Terms”).

1. The purpose of the JOLT Fair Use Policy (the “Policy”) is to ensure that:

(a)  JOLT electric vehicle charging services (the “Services”) are used in accordance with our Terms and Privacy Policy, as set out on the JOLT Website; 

(b)  all customers can access our Services equitably; and

(c)  our Services are not used in an unreasonable or unacceptable manner.

2. The Policy applies to all customers and users of the Services.

3. We consider your use of the Services unreasonable and in violation of this Policy if you use it in a manner that is other than it was intended for. The following uses are in violation of this Policy, however, this is not intended to be an exhaustive list:

(a)  use of the Services to operate or support a business (including operating or being involved with a rideshare service), or for any other commercial or non-domestic purpose; 

(b) using the Services for or making the Services available for third party use whether or not for profit (including vehicle to vehicle-to-grid systems);

(c)  using the Services for wholesale or reselling purposes, or charging for access to the Services;

(d)  using the Services in a manner that breaches the JOLT Terms or any applicable law;

(e)  using the Services for any fraudulent purpose;

(f)  manipulating or attempting to bypass any limitations or usage restrictions within the Services or on a JOLT charger ;

(g)  using your account to provide anyone other than yourself, access to charging through the Services; or

(h)  using the Services in a manner that could interfere with the provision of the service, our networks, the assets of the electricity service provider or equipment or those of another purpose, or our ability to provide Services to you or another person. 

4. For the avoidance of doubt, your ordinary domestic use of the Services will not breach this policy.

5. In case of breach of this Policy, we may take remedial action, including suspending or terminating your account. We may also take remedial action if a regulator, governmental authority, or applicable law requires us to do so.
