First premium roadside locations now live in the GTA, offering broadcast reach and 1:1 EV driver engagement
TORONTO – Marketers, advertisers and media buyers now have access to a revolutionary new advertising medium that combines prime strategic roadside locations with powerful audience targeting. Today, JOLT, the fast, free, and clean, global EV charging-integrated 100% Digital Out-of-Home advertising network, has officially launched in Canada, with its first installment in the City of Richmond Hill.
With 5,000 locations planned nationwide, JOLT’s premium DOOH screens will provide advertisers with high broadcast visibility combined with 1:1 engagement with EV drivers whilst they’re charging, and via the JOLT mobile app.
“Advertisers have a prime opportunity to reach a valuable broadcast audience at high-traffic roadside locations,” said Brendan Dillon, Country Manager, JOLT. “Beyond our broadcast reach, our network also delivers unparalleled engagement with a high-value EV audience. Not only do we leverage first-party data from our app, but we also capture the attention of users during a critical moment—when they initiate their vehicle charge.”
This forward-thinking approach positions JOLT as a future-facing partner for brands looking to engage consumers in a responsible, yet highly effective way while ensuring relevance for a broad range of advertisers.
“As an industry, our marketing activities can contribute to making Canada a more
sustainable country. As more Canadians make the change to EVs each year, campaigns on the JOLT network will help enable EV drivers to access fast, reliable, and cost-effective charging which are often the common barriers to EV ownership,” says Brendan Dillon, Country Manager, JOLT.
“This growing market leaves ample room for advertisers to target engaged and valuable audiences in a unique and sustainable way. With the planned expansion, brands can plan ahead and connect with our audience across multiple touchpoints throughout the JOLT advertising ecosystem.”
The first JOLT installations in Richmond Hill follow last year’s announcement that JOLT would install up to 5,000 public DC fast chargers.
Originating in Australia, JOLT has already made its mark as the largest free EV charging and DOOH network across Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. Now, with its expansion into Canada, JOLT is poised to reshape the EV landscape across the country, ensuring that charging is accessible, equitable and seamlessly integrated into daily routines. The new charging stations will offer 7 kWh of free daily energy through the JOLT app. This will provide 40-50 kilometres of range, and take 15-20 minutes of charge time, saving Canadian drivers over $1100 on charging per year.
