JOLT, New Zealand’s leading EV charging and digital out-of-home network, today announced two senior appointments in its NZ sales team, following strong advertiser growth and network expansion.
Senior sales executives, Stephen Douglas and Matt Webb, have been appointed as Group Sales Managers, overseeing the growing New Zealand sales team. Douglas will lead the Wellington and national sales operations, while Webb will focus on Auckland and Christchurch.
Douglas is an experienced business development leader, with expertise in media, strategy and revenue growth. He joins JOLT from news media company, Stuff, where he was the National Business Director, overseeing the OMG and Dentsu media agencies, and government and education accounts.
Prior to this, Douglas spent more than a decade at Viacom in the UK as an International Account Director, managing international clients, media agencies and government departments, along with identifying new tourism clients for event-based marketing partnerships. During his time at Viacom, he also undertook a five-month secondment to the New York team, acting as Vice President for International Marketing Partnerships developing customised sales solutions for key international accounts based in the US. He has also worked in senior account roles at Television New Zealand, Fairfax and nzoom.com.
“I’m thrilled to be joining JOLT at such a pivotal time in the business,” Douglas said. “JOLT’s data-led approach is transforming out-of-home media, empowering brands to connect with the right audience, in the right place, at the right time. I’m looking forward to collaborating with our partners to create smarter, more impactful campaigns that deliver real results.”
Webb brings nearly 20 years’ sales experience to JOLT across both agency and client side. He comes to JOLT from Sport Nation and the Sports Entertainment Network, where he was the Senior Commercial Manager. Prior to this, he spent nearly a decade at Val Morgan as Group Sales Manager, following roles as a Senior Account Manager at oOh!media and as a media consultant at Fairfax.
“I am excited to be part of JOLT’s mission to spark change, bringing brands and audiences together with unique first-party data and insights,” he said. “JOLT’s market-leading combination of free EV charging and digital out-of-home advertising delivers real value to both communities and advertisers – and with the increasing expansion of both its advertising partnerships and charging network across New Zealand, it’s a proposition with real momentum.”
Commenting on the appointments, JOLT New Zealand Country Manager, Chris Monaghan, said: “Bringing Steve and Matt on-board is a major milestone for JOLT New Zealand. Their combined strategic, business and sales expertise will be instrumental in helping us scale our network and deepen our advertising partnerships. Both bring significant experience in media sales and client partnerships to our business; and as we continue to grow across the country, the strength of our people is what will set us apart.”
JOLT ANZ General Manager of Regional Sales, Carin Lee-Skelton, added: “This is an exciting next phase for JOLT New Zealand. Steve and Matt’s appointments are a critical part of our ANZ expansion strategy, reflecting our investment in both infrastructure and the local talent that will drive long-term success for our clients and communities.”
The new appointments follow significant growth across both JOLT’s New Zealand and global operations, as demand continues for JOLT’s smarter advertising solutions.
JOLT’s New Zealand footprint has continued to expand, with now 102 data driven, fully digital street furniture panels now live across Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, following 155% year-on-year network growth and successful media partnerships with a diverse range of client categories.
Douglas and Webb will report to Chris Monaghan and both appointments are effective immediately.
