This partnership supports reliable curbside infrastructure for residents at no cost to taxpayers, advancing the transition to equitable urban mobility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The transition follows a competitive procurement process and approval by the Hoboken City Council to ensure long-term operation and maintenance of the City\u2019s on-street charging assets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Previously operated by Volta Media Network and now integrated into JOLT\u2019s expanding U.S. network, these 14 EV charging stations, which include a mix of level 2 and DCFC speeds, have facilitated more than 10,000 charging sessions and delivered over 700,000 EV miles since October 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While traditional curbside charging often requires significant municipal capital, complex grid upgrades, and long timelines, JOLT\u2019s advertising-supported infrastructure model allows stations to be operated and maintained with zero financial impact on the City. This approach generates a sustainable revenue stream for the municipality through monthly rental fees. The agreement also gives the City of Hoboken the ability to use the station\u2019s ad panels for public service announcements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cSustainability in Hoboken means making clean transportation practical and accessible for everyone, especially in a city where many residents utilize on-street parking,\u201d said Mayor Emily B. Jabbour. \u201cExpanding curbside EV charging with JOLT Charge strengthens our climate action efforts by bringing reliable charging directly into our neighborhoods.
