{"id":5669,"date":"2022-06-27T08:40:48","date_gmt":"2022-06-26T21:40:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joltcharge.com\/au\/?p=5669"},"modified":"2022-06-27T08:40:48","modified_gmt":"2022-06-26T21:40:48","slug":"free-and-fast-electric-vehicle-charging-stations-to-help-turbocharge-greater-sydneys-growth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joltcharge.com\/au\/news\/free-and-fast-electric-vehicle-charging-stations-to-help-turbocharge-greater-sydneys-growth\/","title":{"rendered":"JOLT partners with Endeavour Energy to deliver Free and Fast Electric Vehicle charging stations to help turbocharge Greater Sydney\u2019s growth"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">EV drivers in NSW will soon have more Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations accessible, with the launch of a new partnership between Endeavour Energy and JOLT.&nbsp; Endeavour Energy, the electricity services business delivering safe, affordable, and reliable power to 2.6 million people and businesses throughout NSW, announced today that it will partner with JOLT to build a network of free and fast electric vehicle charging stations across Western Sydney.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">More than 230 EV charging stations will be installed on existing Endeavour Energy streetside substations by 2025 with the number expanding to more than 1000 chargers over the next decade throughout the partnership.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Endeavour Energy\u2019s Chief Customer and Strategy Officer, Leanne Pickering, said the first charging stations are expected to be operating by the end of this year. \u201cIn a world where we are \u2018electrifying everything\u2019, our customers are depending on us to support their daily life \u2013 for commuting, working remotely, for education and entertainment,\u201d she said. \u201cThe partnership with JOLT harnesses the exciting momentum around EVs as people see the benefits of contribution to the environment through reducing carbon emissions and cleaner air.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Endeavour Energy forecasts that one in four of its customers will be driving an EV within the next 10 years. By 2040 it\u2019s predicted there will be around 1.3 million electric cars in the Endeavour Energy network which covers Sydney\u2019s Greater West, Blue Mountains, Southern Highlands, the Illawarra, and NSW South Coast.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Providing free charging in more urban locations will allow more people into the EV market, especially those who don\u2019t have off-street charging.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">JOLT CEO, Doug McNamee, said he was excited to be expanding JOLT\u2019s network across NSW with Endeavour Energy to help solve the key barriers to EV adoption such as access to charging, cost and range anxiety, at a time of growth in the area.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;We&#8217;re thrilled to be expanding our footprint to the wider Sydney area and provide free, fast charging to more EV drivers through our partnership with Endeavour Energy. The JOLT network has already given out over 162,000 free kilometres to EV drivers, that\u2019s 4 trips around the surface of the earth.\u201d McNamee said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOur communities want greater accessibility and more EV chargers to be able to charge on the go.
